HOW CREDITS WORK

Transparent time and delivery.

No seats, no per-tool fees, no lock-in. A job uses the greater of rounded-up worker seconds or rounded-up 6 MiB output units.

Time or output, whichever is higher
A credit covers one worker second or 6 MiB of output. Most 1080p edits are still driven by processing time.
Failed jobs are refunded
If a job errors out, its credits are returned automatically. You only pay for work that produces a result.
No surprise overages
When an account reaches zero, KinoPipe pauses new jobs instead of billing you extra. Costs stay predictable.
Priced on real work
Simple trims cost a few credits; heavy renders or large delivered files cost more. KinoPipe uses the higher total, never both added together.
EVERY PLAN

The full API, on all plans.

The Free tier is not a crippled demo. Every plan — free or paid — ships the complete product; plans differ only in how many credits you get.

  • The complete typed video API — every bounded operation
  • Hosted MCP server with OAuth 2.1, no API key to leak
  • Asynchronous jobs with observable status and webhooks
  • Idempotency keys for safe retries
  • Direct uploads and CDN-served outputs
  • Single-pass rendering — one encode per job
FAQ

Questions about credits.

If something is still unclear, the docs cover the billing model in detail.

What exactly is a credit?
One credit covers one second of worker processing or 6 MiB of output. Successful jobs use whichever rounded-up total is higher, not the sum of both.
Do I pay for jobs that fail?
No. When a job errors, its credits are refunded automatically. You are only charged for jobs that finish and return an output.
What happens when I run out of credits?
New jobs are paused until you top up — KinoPipe never charges overage fees. Upgrade your plan or wait for your next monthly grant to keep going.
Can I try it without paying?
Yes. The Free plan gives you 100 credits once — about ten edits — with no credit card required. It uses the same complete API as the paid plans.
Where can I use KinoPipe?
From any MCP client (Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex), an n8n workflow, or straight from the REST API. The credit model is the same everywhere.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Anytime, from your dashboard. Billing is handled through our provider and takes effect on your next cycle.
